About MobiSecure™ SoftTokens

Event Based OTP
MobiSecure™ event-based SoftTokens provide users with an OATH-Standard based six digit number that provides a secure authentication mechanism in addition to traditional user name and password. MobiSecure™ SoftTokens utilize a two factor authentication system to validate the handset client SoftToken value with that of the MobiSecure™ server. The MobiSecure™ event-based SoftToken expires once it is used and is no longer valid.
Time Based OTP
Like MobiSecure™ event based SoftTokens, time based SoftTokens are also OATH-Standards compliant and generate a six digit number for secure authentication. Time-based MobiSecure™ SoftTokens have a pre-defined valid time period which is configurable by the system administrator. The SoftToken expires once it is used or the valid time period elapses, whichever comes first.
